BklynFella i've not been to Whappin' but everytime i visit San Jose, I always go to a restaurant called Restaurante Kario. Their caribbean food is delicious. The Snapper with rice and peas, the beef patty, the soups, the sorrel, or other drinks. I never leave unhappy. They are located in the San Francisco area of Costa Rica. And also reasonably priced.
